Biomesotherapy / Bio-Injections / Trigger Point Injections

Musculo-Skeletal pain and dysfunction is commonly associated with hyper-irritable areas (known as trigger points) within muscles, which refer pain to other regions of the body.  When muscles with trigger points contract, the referral pattern created can cause confusion and frustration to the individual, who often seeks logical consultations - such as seeing an optometrist for eye pain or vision disturbances, or a dentist for tooth pain.
Whilst these types of consultations are crucial to exclude more serious conditions, confusion and frustration can occur due to the consultation offering an alternative theory or referral, when nothing is found within their professional field of practice.
This can lead the individual on a long journey seeking help and answers, for something that if found to be part of the cause, can be dealt with in a short period of time.  This is done by applying light pressure to the trigger points found to relate to your pain pattern, and if your pain pattern is reproduced, they are then injected with a saline (salt water) solution.

The saline works by helping to reduce the local area of irritation (trigger point), and the therapy is completed through the discovery of why the muscle has become dysfunctional in the first place, through osteopathy, and specialised musculo-skeletal therapy.
