Neural Therapy

Neural therapy is based on the theory that trauma can produce long-standing disturbances in the electrochemical function of tissues. Among the types of tissues affected by trauma include scars, nerves or a cluster of nerves called ganglion.

The disruption of signalling throughout the body can create many seemingly non-related issues or pain syndromes that appear untraceable.

At Levity, neural therapy invovles the injection of anaethetic into traumatised tissue (usually scars) to neutralise any disruption the tissue may be causing to the body's electrochemical communication and signally system.  Anaesthetic appears to act as a circuit breaker which blocks abnormal neural impluses and allows a more normal neurological activity to re-establish.

Clients seeing our Personal Trainers have had scars from c-section births, appendix and gall-bladder operations treated and have experienced changes in core and muscular function.  Neural therpay can also be useful for musculoskeletal pain syndromes.

The process begins with some simple and non-invasive tests to ensure that neural therapy will be suitable for you.  Very little pain or discomfort is associated with local anaesthetic injection.

Appointments are usually no longer than 15mins in length.  1-4 treatments may be necessary depending on a patient's individual case.
