Have you ever wondered why, despite the best intention, loads of positive thinking, even scheduling time and help, you only gain temporary changes or success, soon returning to old ways and habits? If you think it’s because you’re sabotaging your own performance then you’re most likely correct.
The answer sits in the subconscious. In order to create real change and sustaining it over time, your underlying beliefs and attitudes must also change, after all, the original ones are creating what you already have!!
Approximately 95% of thought, emotion, and learning occurs at the subconscious level of the mind – i.e. without conscious awareness. So no matter how determined you are consciously, if your subconscious is not in agreement, achieving your peak performance may well be a struggle, or simply not happen at all.
If you consider this to be true, it means that approximately 95% of our "choices" and resulting behaviours are not conscious! They are pre-programmed (or reactive) responses from past experiences and learning. Often these reactions are outdated and no longer useful, and importantly may not be in line with our current goals & desires.
Even the best training programs (whether it be fitness, personal development or skill based) can fail during implementation due to self- sabotaging subconscious beliefs. These prevent us from integrating and maintaining supportive behaviours for the future.
The subconscious is the warehouse for attitudes, values, and beliefs. These drive our thoughts and actions, which in-turn determine what we are able to achieve. Using Kinesiology, we are able to "check in" with the subconscious to determine if it is in alignment with our conscious goals and belief systems. It also allows us to determine where to appropriately correct these in order to be in alignment with your current goals.
So if you are sabotaging yourself in reaching goals, including fitness training, life and career, maybe you need to "check in" with your subconscious belief systems.
By aligning subconscious beliefs and perceptions with your conscious goals and objectives, success more easily flows and is much less of a daily struggle.
