More than just a Salad Dressing

Posted: Mon 12 Jul, 2010

This salad dressing, rich with immune-boosting and anti-inflammatory herbs like turmeric and ginger, will aid in reducing inflammation whilst strengthening your immune system and add a zip to salads.

Fresh herbs are best for this one but dried will work too.

Note: Except for the peppers, amounts of individual herbs aren’t that important; just fill the jar with what you have on hand.

Method:

Pack a clean glass jar full of:

  • 2 whole Cayenne Peppers
  • Turmeric Root - grated
  • Shiitake Mushrooms (fresh or dried)
  • Garlic Cloves
  • Fresh Ginger

Pour olive oil over herbs to cover. Cap tightly; let sit for 2 weeks in a cool
dark place.

Use as you would any salad oil.
